Panama City Artists Paint The Streets

Panama Street Art

As you can see from this post, there are loads of things to do in Panama City. You might be in such a rush to do everything on your to-do list that you forget to stop for a moment and look at the beauty it holds. That’s why we’ve made this photo journal that shows how Panama City artists paint the streets …

One of our more anticipated excursions on this 26 day cruise was a trip from the Caribbean to the Atlantic along the Panama Canal. We did not expect to find Panama City so enticing!

Most people when they think about paint on a building, bridge or public surface immediately grimace and think of “graffiti”. We have seen our share of awful graffiti. I recall how disgusted I was to see the old town of Napoli with the churches and historical monuments all tagged. But not all painted walls are graffiti! We saw some colourful street art that celebrated the culture when we visited Panama City. Some of this street art was complemented by colour and creativity in the buildings and vehicles in the city. Even the “Panama hats” were decorated and colourful!
